Medical Info: Tylenol or Motrin/Advil?

Much confusion exists over whether to use Tylenol (acetominophen) or Motrin/Advil (ibuprofen). We recommend a Tylenol type product for routine use to control fever and/or discomfort. Tylenol + tepid bath is a long proven EFFECTIVE way to reduce fever. If the fever does not respond to the Tylenol/tepid bath regime, an ibuprofen product (Motrin/Advil) can be used in addition on an as needed basis.
