Fluoride

The element fluoride when present in drinking water in adequate quantity, is an effective deterrent to tooth decay during childhood. Our natural water sources in Central Florida are fluoride deficient. Unless your child drinks city water fortified with fluoride it is provided by giving prescription fluoride drops. This should be started at approximately six months of age.
